The KIDS drug calculator 
This drug calculator has been produced by the KIDS team, the BCH intensive care team and BCH pharmacists.  The calculations have been checked by their team, but this calculator is released for your use with no warranty or support.  

Please always use the latest version from this site, rather than using a saved file.  Always check the weight you have entered is correct.  All calculations should be manually checked with an appropriate formulary (e.g. BNFc).  KIDS and BCH take no responsibility for errors resulting from the use of this calculator. 

The KIDS drug calculator is in MS Excel format.

Please be aware that this had not been tested on tablets and smartphones and may not work on these devices.

ScotSTAR Paediatric Retrieval Service Drug Calculator
Please use the link below to access the RHSC Edinburgh PICU drug dose calculator. This can be openened as an excel spreadsheet. If you input the patients (estimated) weight  the macros will calculate appropriate resuscitation and stabilisation drug doses. Please note it may be necessary to disable Marcro security settings in MS Excel to allow this file to open.

Paediatric Emergency Drugs Calculator
This drugs and infusions spreadsheet was written to provide a set of standard orders for common drugs used at paediatric emergency codes and on the PICU.

It prints out in colour on two sides of A4.

All calculations are based on NWTS standards and compliant with local practice at Royal Manchester Children’s and Alder Hey Children’s Hospitals.
